JenScottySmithFamily: labor day 2008 post

So the summer has come to an end - it's actually hailing today here (Labor Day) and there is snow on the mountains. The girls are back in school. Hannah is in first grade - 9 - 330! and Brianna is going to preschool four days a week. So Cassidy is the only one home all the time.

We went Kayaking on Utah Lake for Our 12th Wedding Anniversary. (August 17th 2008)

Scotty and Hannah went on a backpacking two night overnight adventure (August 29-31st). Scotty's good friend Cory and his boys also went. It was four miles in to camp and four miles back. All reports indicate that Hannah did well - there was also some whining and a black eye received in the process. All in a good day's hike though. She listened to Norah Jones on the IPod and said the motto was "keep on keeping on". They returned Sunday evening dirty and worn out!

Scotty found the water to be wonderfully cold!

Here's a video - not really exciting, but Scotty was trying out the video feature on the little camera he has.... Hannah is talking to Cory. I guess she followed him around a lot. She tends to do that.
